Whether your existing cylinder is failing to produce enough hot water, leaking, making unusual noises, or simply past its best, our team will diagnose the issue and provide an honest recommendation — whether that's a repair, a service, or a full replacement. We carry common parts for fast turnaround and offer competitive fixed-price quotations for all work.

Unvented vs Vented Cylinders — What's the Difference?
Unvented Cylinders (e.g. Megaflo)
Unvented cylinders are connected directly to the mains water supply, so there's no cold water tank in the loft. This means you get strong, mains-pressure hot water to every tap and shower in your home — ideal for households that want powerful showers without a pump.
Megaflo is the most well-known brand of unvented cylinder. Because they operate under pressure, unvented cylinders must be installed and serviced by a G3 qualified engineer — which all of our cylinder engineers are.
Vented Cylinders (Traditional)
Vented (or gravity-fed) cylinders are the traditional type found in many UK homes. They use a cold water storage tank — usually in the loft — which feeds water to the cylinder by gravity. This means water pressure can be lower, especially on upper floors.
If you currently have a vented cylinder and want better water pressure, we can advise on upgrading to an unvented system. We also install, service, and repair all types of vented cylinders — both direct (heated by an immersion heater) and indirect (heated by your boiler).
Not sure which type you have? Our engineers can inspect your current setup, explain your options in plain English, and recommend the best solution for your home and budget.
